At this years Good Design Awards in Korea, LG Electronics received the highest honor of the Presidential Award with its KH5000 handset for IMT-2000 service (aka cdma2000 1x EV-DO). LG’s latest creation is considered to be one of the most impressive handsets to come to market during the last 2 months.
It supports a 2.2-inch TFT-LCD rotating display; enabling the user to view photos, wallpapers, and background images from an angle of up to 270 degrees! Its’ integrated high quality CMOS camera (110k pixels resolution) supports: 3-step selection of image resolution (88×72, 176×144, 352×288 pixels), image quality control (low, medium, high), and image conversion capability.
In addition, the LG KH5000 is fully capable of sending and receiving MMS and LMS (Long Messaging Service) of up to 500 Korean characters in a single message and in the meantime comes with a 40 chord midi chip so that users can enjoy polyphonic sounds. For the carriers that support the function, this phone from LG is enabled with VOD (Video On Demand) software and a maximum download speed of 2.4Mbps.
